Midwives live by the philosophy that birth is a normal process of the female body. Midwives realized that birth outside of the hospital is the 'Gold Standard' and not an alternative way to birth a baby.

Midwives spend more time on wellness, prevention, and helping childbearing women maintain an optimum state of health. Midwives usually have a lower rate of interventions during labor and delivery. They care for each woman according to her individual needs and include women in the decisions that affect their care.

Certified Professional Midwife

A Certified Professional Midwife is a knowledgeable, skilled and professional independent midwifery practitioner who has met the standards for certification set by the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) and is qualified to provide the midwifery model of care.

The CPM is the only international credential that requires knowledge about and experience in out-of-hospital setting.

Midwives specialize in birth. We realize that birth can have many different characteristics.
